2 Comprehensive Bird Taming Workshops

Ken is happy to return to the Beak 'n Wings Bird Club of Kansas City, MO, for his third set of workshops.  Special thanks go out to club president, Dean Tyson and club members for their support.

Get hands on help with your bird or come without a bird and learn the amazing techniques that enable Ken to tame the most difficult birds in a minimum of time.

Ken will present a free bird taming demo

Saturday 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

There's no better way to learn Ken's unique, hands-on techniques for taming wild, frightened and/or aggressive birds than in his dynamic, comprehensive Workshop.  You can attend either as an observer, or have Ken work directly with your own “difficult” bird.   Learn the techniques that have enabled him to turn aggressive, fearful birds into loving pets.

The Workshop will be focused primarily on handling and taming techniques, and deal with issues of fear (the birds’ and yours), and aggression.  Another major focus is how to socialize a bird that loves certain family members and rejects others.

First, Ken handles the birds until they are calmer, and more manageable.  Then he blends the owners into the process, empowering them to deal with their "difficult" birds and give them the tools to get close to their pets.  By the end of the workshop, most of the birds will be to the point where they are being handled by everyone.

The number of birds admitted is strictly limited, but we encourage people to participate as observers, as those who do can typically gain the tools they need to handle birds they previously couldn’t handle.  Time permitting, those attending without birds will also get hands-on with the birds.  This serves two purposes; it gives people experience with the new techniques and it also helps the birds get positive socialization.

As a workshop participant, you'll observe Ken work with a variety of birds with different behavior issues.  And what you learn will change the way you understand and handle birds.  Forever.
